MoRGAN territory Ride

What to expect:
Join us for a clockwise loop around Mt. Diablo via the beautiful ranches in Morgan territory. Winter/spring is one of the best times to explore this often unvisited/untouched territory with green rolling hills.
We will start at walnut creek bart station at 9am. There are two climbs on this ride: First in Morgan territory on backcountry/ranch roads onto the ridge. And the next on Mt. Diablo. The linked route shows the climb all the way to Diablo summit which people are free to do. I will be doing the shorter part by cutting out the out-and-back from the Diablo ranger station (i.e., ascend from the south gate road until the ranger station, and then directly descend via the north gate road). The out-and-back will add approx 2k feet and 10 miles to your ride (68 miles, 7k feet total). The shorter route without the final climb will be 58 miles, 5k feet.
For those considering public transit, I will take the 8:23 am yellow BART from Embarcadero station. It will reach walnut creek at 8:58 am.
