The Golden Gate Triathlon Club's Tri & Give Program has been running for 12 seasons! GGTC and TRIMORE Fitness support new triathletes completing a Olympic-distance triathlon while simultaneously helping the community!
Tri and Give (TAG) is the Golden Gate Triathlon Club’s 10-week training program for people new to the sport of triathlon, or people who want to learn more about structured training principles, and prepares them for an Olympic-distance triathlon. All proceeds from the program benefit local Bay Area organizations that provide athletic and learning opportunities to children.
Since its inception in 2002, more than 600 athletes have gone through the program and successfully completed their goal race.
The program has raised over $90,000 for its beneficiaries, including:
- Special Olympics of Northern California
- Big Brother/Big Sister of Marin and Napa
- Girls on the Run Bay Area
- Real Options for City Kids (ROCK)
- GirlVentures
- Jamestown Community Center
- Lincoln High School cross-country running team
