Biking in Italy
Author Last Post
That just means the club will need to plan a trip to Italy!

That sounds amazing! I'm looking to get out of the cities (so traffic is not an issue) and see the country. I'll start in Rome, move to Florence and keep heading north.

Sorry.  I saw northern and biking and immediately started daydreaming about Italy.  I can't say much at all about biking in northern Europe, other than I'd like to give it a go...

Jen
I haven't really biked much in Europe but I lived in Italy and would be happy to offer my observations. Of course, Italy is not Northern Europe..

Jen, what kind of riding are you thinking of??  Another GGTC member (John Stratton) and I rode about 750 miles last spring in Northern Italy and LOVED it!!  We were in the Lakes Region, the Italian Alps, and the Dolomites.  We did about 75,000 feet of climbing, so plenty of opportunity to climb if that's your preference.  There were enough flat roads too.  Lots of bikers in that area....
