Well, we've got you covered at GGTC track night this Wednesday! See below for everything you need to know and email me at with any questions.

GGTC Track Kick Off
6:45 – 8 PMWednesday
Kezar Stadium (south/east lower bleachers)
Followed by drinks at Kezar Pub (delicious...)

What to bring: Dress warm! Bring watch, hydration fluid and an extra set of warm, dry clothes.

6:30 PM         Coach Dorette on site for questions.
6:45 PM         Welcome and discussion (announcements, general format, track 101 & etiquette revisited, 2-mi assessment on Feb 19)
7:00 PM         Warm up, dynamic run drills, main set
7:50 PM         Cool down/stretch
8:00 PM         Head to Kezar Pub for libations and fun!
Workout: The goal of this workout is to prepare runners for a 2-mi assessment in order to determine individual track paces.
  •  4 x 100 strides (easy on the curves) to get the blood pumping and lactic running
  •  2 x 400 (200 easy recovery run); 1 x 800 (~ 2 min rest interval or as determined by group/coach) – repeat three times.
The goal is to reduce pace within each set by taking your 400 time to create your new 800 time. Each set is progressively faster.
