Wow!  Erika, thank you for sending this out.  I've read her books and can't wait to see her speak.  She is such an inspiration.  I highly recommend Swimming to Antarctica is you haven't read it yet.  Greyson is also a fantastic memoir/narrative.

Looking forward to this!

Lynne Cox, accomplished Open Water Swimmer to Speak at Sports Basement & the South End Rowing Club on August 15th & 16th!

Ever wonder what it would take to swim the English Channel? Catalina? Gibraltar?

Lynne Cox is one of the most accomplished open-water swimmers on the planet, and is perhaps best known for swimming the Bering Straight in 1987. She will be in San Francisco in support of her new book: Open Water Swimming Manual. The book will be of great use to swimmers, triathletes, coaches and apparently the Navy Seals (there is a chapter on mission planning).

She will be at Presidio Sports Basement on August 15 from 6:30-8:30 and at the South End Rowing Club on August 16 from 6:00-9:00. The latter is a club happy hour. All are welcome.

Please visit the GGTC calendar. Both meetings have been posted to the calendar.

Thanks!
Erika
