Hello GGTC! Once again, it's that time of year. I'm racing Big Kahuna in Santa Cruz and am going to rent a house for the weeekend. Looks like a 3 bedroom 2 bath (waiting for confirmations of availability) It will be within riding distance of transition either on the West or East Cliff side. I've done this the last three years and it's the way to go. We check in Saturday and check out Monday morning (2 night minimum). It'll provide us a house to relax in afterwards and we can perhaps put together a post race BBQ too in people are interested. Availability of spots will be on a first come first serve basis. I'm looking for probably 5 people total in the house (it sleeps 6-8) however, occupants 4-6 may be on an aerobed/sofa bed/pull out/sleeping bag. Not sure yet. Organizing a house for the club can be difficult, so please be patient and I will try my best to accommodate everyone who is interested. Please reply ONLY to me if you are interested. I will then reach out to those people and confirm logistics, send out detaisl, etc.
Big Kahuna is a great race. I've signed up the last three years. It's a great introductory half distance race and I've enjoyed it every time. Looking for some great housemates and great racing stories this year!
