As a GGTC member there are three ways to get a race slot:
1)Recruit volunteers for Alcatraz
The club allocates slots to the members who recruit the most volunteers for EFA (Note: you must recruit 10 volunteers or more
to be eligible for a slot). To participate you must be a member in good standing and the volunteers cannot be club members.
Details about this program will be sent out 2-3 months prior to EFA.
2)Volunteer to be an assistant race director
GGTC not only recruits all the race day volunteers, but provides a staff of key volunteer race directors. Volunteer assistant
race directors are assigned to various areas of the course and manage the volunteers within that area. All assistant race directors
will receive guaranteed race slots for the following year’s EFA race. The lead race directors will start recruiting 3-4 months prior to EFA.

3)Be an active GGTC member and volunteer
Lastly, GGTC offers race slots to the membership as a part of other programs for helping out at events like track,
Aquatic Park swims, and TAG workouts. If you're interested in getting a slot next year, keep your eyes open for these opportunities.

The slots are there for our membership, and it's just another benefit of being a GGTC member.
